Project Bread: Walk for Hunger

COVID-19 has hit certain groups in the public with extreme famine and hunger. Thus, this year the Walk For Hunger is dedicated to raising money for those in need and providing them with help. Originally, the Walk For Hunger was founded in 1969 on the promise, by the people of Massachusetts, to provide relief to our neighbors struggling with food insecurity. Over the years the walk has raised millions of dollars and millions of people have benefited from it.

Being able to raise money for your neighbors in need in Boston alongside your friends, coworkers, and family is extremely rewarding. This walk brings together the Boston community to create a loving and welcoming environment. Unfortunately this year the event will be held virtually to adhere to social distancing guidelines, but it will still continue with the same vibes and mission that it usually has.

This year the walk has a goal to raise 1.2 million dollars … with just over 750 thousand dollars raised so far. We have until the walk on May 2nd to come together and raise this money! Tell your friends, neighbors, family, brothers, sisters, coworkers, baristas… we can do this!

If you are interested in raising funds, joining a team, or creating your own team, visit the website to see how to get started. Also, if you have any questions or want to learn more about how you can get involved visit the website as well.
