The Town & The City Festival returns this weekend on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th. This two-day music and arts festival celebrates the adventurous spirit of Lowell native author Jack Kerouac and features an eclectic lineup of artists including Buffalo Tom, Dalton and the Sheriffs, Rhett Miller, John Doe Folk Trio, Ted Leo, Peter Mulvey & SistaStrings, Alisa Amador, Pile, Vapors of Morphine, Future Teens, Downtown Boys, Hilken Mancini, Savoir Faire, Laney Ryan, Opal Canyon, Crow Follow The Jacklights, Big Fat Family, Emily Desmond, and more.

New to the festival this year is a special edition of Earfull where writers read from their new books. Bill Janovitz and Warren Zanes will be reading from their latest works. Other highlights include UMass Lowell alum Jen Kearney in concert as part of Points of Light, a free celebration of unity and renewal that brings together the food, music, and traditions of Lowell’s diverse cultures. Additionally, the inaugural edition of The Town & the City Record Show will host some of the area’s best independent record dealers from 10:00am to 3:30pm on Saturday, April 29th at Mill No. 5, including RRRecords and the mill’s Vinyl Destination. Spoken word works are also highlighted at Defining Moments featuring Duncan Wilder Johnson, Sky Perez, and more, hosted by D-Tension on Saturday.

Don't miss D-Tension at the Hip Hop showcase on Friday with J Faith, Fee the Evolutionist, and more. Get the best deal for your weekend by purchasing One-and Two-Day passes while you still can! We suggest buying tickets for your favorite artists, as club shows are likely to sell out.
