Best Pumpkin Patches in the Boston Area

Pumpkin season is here! We have put together a list of the best pumpkin patches in the Boston area for you to go enjoy with your family or friends!

  1. Crescent Farm: they have all kinds of pumpkins for you to pick from in its rolling pumpkin patch. The 400-acre farm also has ice cream, a kid-friendly corn maze, and more scenic hayrides available only on weekends!

  2. Westward Orchards: this small orchard hosts their pick-your-own pumpkin patch only during the weekends. The farm store also offers freshly made apple cider donuts and a bunch of locally grown produce - including apples which you can also pick yourself.

  3. Parlee Farms: this year, they are having 11 acres of pumpkins. The farm opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 10AM until 4PM. During the weekends, you have the chance of enjoying their 27-minute roasted corn, cut your own flowers, taste some treats, visit the baby goats, and pick apples!

4. Smolak Farm: Smolak not only has a pumpkin patch but also weekend festivals with a hay maze, face painting, and a ton other children activities plus an abundance of extra treats, all for one package price. Perfect for those with little kids!

5. Wilson Farm: this very farm is very close to the city for those who don’t have the time to go further away. They have pumpkin of all colors and sizes as well as a large market with fresh produce, cheese, and flowers! Kids can visit the animals at the barn and enjoy special weekend-only apple cider donuts and caramel apples.

6. Boston Hill Farm: although small, this mighty farm has all needed to enjoy the day at the pumpkin patch! As a guest, you will be given a red wagon where you can stack your pumpkins, you can visit their petting zoo, and indulge in some delicious apple cider donuts.

7. Allandale Farm: accessible via the MBTA, Allandale Farm is within the city of Boston limits! Located right in Brookline, the farm offers all types of pumpkins perfect for pies, decorations, and carving but they lack the full picking experience. Hayrides are also offered on Saturdays for the month of October!

8. Tougas Family Farm: apple picking, pumpkin patch, apple cider donuts, you name it and this farm will have all the fall favorites. They also have a farm-themed playground for the kids to enjoy! Reservations for picking are not required.
