Café Sauvage Opening

Opening on Wednesday, October 20th

Café Sauvage - at 25 Massachusetts Avenue - has just opened! This week, they will have a special schedule from 10AM until 7PM and regular hours after October 24th at the fabulous Back Bay location.

Owners Anais and Antoine Lambert, from Paris, have worked at Sandrine Rossi’s Frenchie and Colette Wine Bistro. To their team they add Executive Chef Kendall DaCosta. He has previously worked at Bastille Kitchen and the Four Seasons! The restaurant will offer modern french cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This cozy 38-seat restaurant serves contemporary French cuisine and culture in an easy-to-access location within walking distance of the famous Newbury Street, the Fenway and Kenmore area, and just across the MIT bridge.

Café" because there’s nothing that celebrates community in France than the neighborhood café,” explains Anais Lambert. “Sauvage (“which means “Wild”) because we embrace a symbolic breaking with tradition that’s reflected in the diversity and multiculturalism that exists in France today.”

DaCosta will include dishes from North and East Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia—dishes representative of France’s vibrant immigrant populations, whose contributions to the melting pot of contemporary French food cannot be overstated. Dishes will include Injera Crepe Stuffed with Braised Coconut Swiss Chard and Steamed Fish en Papillote with Moroccan Couscous. French classics such as Steak Frites and Croque Madame will also be offered.

Regulars hours are: Monday: Closed. Tuesday - Wednesday: 7:30am - 6pm. Thursday - Sunday: 7:30am - 10pm.
