Her two newest hits off of Humble Quest, ‘Circles Around This Town’ and ‘Background Music’ have been hits. The first one broke Amazon Music’s record for most streams for a country song by a female artist and it has been praised by many. Maren is nominated for two Grammy awards this year: Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. It is still unsure whether she will perform at the awards ceremony but there is a high chance.

She began writing her upcoming album when the pandemic started as a series of major life changes unfolded. Humble Quest documents Maren’s journey to redefining humility on her own terms as a grounded state of understanding one’s own truth rather than the capacity to appear authentic to others.

The album is produced by Greg Kurstin and it was written alongside her husband Ryan Hurd, Julia Michaels, Jimmy Robbins, Natalie Hembey, Laura Veltz, and Jon Green.

“Am I humble enough now?” Said Maren in a conversation with The New York Times “Maybe. Or maybe I still haven’t found it yet. Or maybe, who cares as long as your friends and, most importantly, you know what your heart is all about? But here’s to taking the quest to find out.”
